About Me

My name is Chip Cochran, I began chasing snakes and frogs at an early age and never grew out of it.  I have been lucky enough to turn my passion into a profession and it has taken me to places such as Swaziland, India and Mexico.  Currently I am a graduate student at Loma Linda University studying geographic venom variation in the Speckled Rattlesnake.

  1. Hey Chip. Bryan Starrett here. We met in in a small canyon adjacent to Lower Scotia in the Huachucas back in August/07 and photographed a litter of newborn C. lepidus you found. Your archive regarding winter herping (Dec 31 – Jan1) was interesting. Contact me at zooherps@gmail.com when you have some time to chat about it.
